About L.B.E
Have a hard time finding a good movie to watch? Want to know a good book to curl up with? (Though, the real question may be–people still read? Well, part of this site will be dedicated to hopefully getting more people into reading books). Over a 100 channels, and can’t find anything to watch? Tired of your music and want something new to listen to? living.breathing.ENTERTAINMENT is here to help.
There is a lot of entertainment out there and sometimes you may just feel overwhelmed. It’s ridiculous to say, but at times, there is just too much to choose from. The aim of this site is to help you sort through all the choices that are available. It will also try to highlight little hidden gems that otherwise would have remained under the radar. Or if you have already seen that movie or heard that song or read a certain book, living.breathing.ENTERTAINMENT will help reignite that memory or association, that connection that you had; it will bring back that warm fuzzy feeling, and a great big smile across your face. And finally, it will strive to help people build a solid entertainment library, from books to music to movies and everything in between.
What are my qualifications, you may ask? I am an avid reader, that is for sure. I am always on the look out for a good book, whether it be in fiction or nonfiction. Some of my favorite authors include Agatha Christie, David Sedaris, Dan Brown, and Thomas Harris. Aside from that, I am a self-proclaimed movie buff. Just recently I have started discovering the truly great movies that Hollywood was built on. Movies that included amazing actors such as Irene Dunn, Cary Grant, Tony Curtis, Katherine Hepburn, Jack Lemmon…and the list goes on and on. On the music front, people on more than one occasion have told me that I have an eclectic taste. My music playlists range from Sinatra and the Rat Pack to Guns N’Roses to techno to classical music, such as Mozart and Beethoven.
On the professional side of things, I have worked at the NY Times. I have also been on the not so glamorous side of the entertainment industry, mainly having to do with print production. I have also grown up around the entertainment industry, having ties to some pretty talented people. I try to keep up with the ups and downs of it, as it is not an easy industry to be in, but it is still a lot of fun.
That’s just a little taste of what I am about and hope to share with all those that visit living.breathing.ENTERTAINMENT. I welcome any and all comments or suggestions. So sit back, relax and enjoy!
